Arto Järvelä

A founding person in Finland’s top music group, JPP, Arto Jarvela has helped to steer the span of Finland’s tradition-rooted music for a lot more than two decades. Just seventeen when he and JPP 1st attracted international interest, Jarvela has continuing to incorporate fresh arrangements, contemporary harmonies and affects from Swedish folk music. By himself, Jarvela offers released two unforgettable single albums — Polska Differente, in 1994, which presented accompaniment from a number of supporting music artists, and Arto Jarvela Takes on Violin, in 1999, which showcased his single playing. A graduate from the Folk Music Division in the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Jarvela created JPP, originally referred to as Jarvelan Pikkupelimannit, along with his sibling, Jouni, on bass, brothers Jarmo and Juha Varila on fiddles and Timo Alokila on harmonium. The group offers subsequently undergone several personnel adjustments with just Jarvela and Alokila staying from the initial band. Jarvela offers balanced his participation with JPP along with his involvement with a great many other rings. A former person in Niekku, Tallari, Ampron Prunni, Koinurit and Salamakkel, he presently takes on with Pinnin Pojat, Maria Kalaniemi’s Aldargaz as well as the Helsinki Mandoliners. He also shows in the Sibelius Academy.
