Arthur is Adam Cresswell (formerly of Saloon), and Martha is Alice Hubley (from the Duloks). Jointly these are Arthur & Martha, a duo whose lush, spacy, Moog and melodica-driven dance-pop, rooted in works just like the Postal Assistance and Stereolab, positioned them in group with early-2000s groupings like Cut Duplicate and the Wedding Shop. Having fulfilled in 2002 via their particular rings, Cresswell and Hubley teamed up after Saloon known as it quits in 2003. Their debut EP, Autavia, premiered on Content Robots Information in 2008; the disk earned favorable testimonials from NME and IndieTracks. Arthur & Martha’s debut full-length, Navigation, arrived on that same label twelve months later.
