Modeled following the dynamic “supergroup” concept that developed the Wu-Tang Clan, the Army from the Pharaohs may be the brainchild of Jedi Brain Tips frontman/MC Vinnie Paz. Paz shaped the horrorcore clothing in the past due ’90s with the initial roster of Bahamadia, Key Kamachi, Virtuoso, 7L & Esoteric, plus Jedi Brain Tricks’ other people Stoupe the Foe of Mankind and Jus Allah. The group initial released the “Five Ideal Exertions” b/w “Battle Outfit” 12″ on Paz’s short-lived Superegular Recordings in 1998, but the underground supergroup continued to be silent for quite some time. After several effective JMT albums and a fresh cope with Babygrande by 2003, Paz resurrected the staff, adding Outerspace (Planetary and Crypt the Warchild), Celph Entitled, Reef the Shed Cauze, Ruler Syze Des Devious, Faez One, and Apathy; nevertheless, Bahamadia, Virtuoso, and Jus Allah got defected through the group. Babygrande released their “Rip It Down” 12″ and full-length debut, The Torture Documents, in 2006. The 2007 follow-up record, Ritual from the Fight, noticed JMT protégés Doap Nixon and Demoz signing up for the Pharaohs, and a come back by Jus Allah.
