Along with his imaginative piano playing and encyclopedic understanding of jazz standards, Armand Boatman continues to be active on the Phoenix jazz scene because the early-’80s. Furthermore to leading his very own group, the Armand Boatman Trio, Boatman is constantly on the collaborate with top-notch Phoenix jazz players Warren Jones, and brothers Costs and Dom Maio, in the Phoenix Jazz Quartet, and frequently works together with vocalist Margot Reed. Boatman proceeds to hold courtroom on the Famous Door, in Scottsdale, where he hosts Tuesday-night jam periods.
