Ark Band

Among America’s best reggae groupings, the Ark Music group regularly performs in choice celebrations and concerts to appreciative crowds using vocals, musicianship, and special harmonies to blow viewers away. The Columbus, OH-based bandmembers aren’t studio room rats, preferring in-your-face, live, and in-concert confrontations. A five-year difference separates the band’s critically acclaimed debut, Na QUIT, on Amerisound Information, and their following release. The associates are God-fearing and united in the fact that they were set up to uplift spirits via Caribbean music. The lineup includes former citizens of St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands, and Jamaica, including founders Terry Bobb (drums, vocals), Eustace Bobb (bass, vocals), Mike Scott (electric guitar, vocals), and Morris Dark brown (keyboards). Augmenting on recordings and occasionally concerts are Mike Smith (keyboards), Damon Arterbridge (business lead vocals, percussion), Mike Iannicello (business lead electric guitar), and Neal Carrington (trumpet, percussion); Joe McCarthy, the audio engineer, twirls the knobs and helps to keep everything restricted. In 2000, the Ark Music group released their second Compact disc, Love Is THE THING YOU NEED.
