Arjen Anthony Lucassen

Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen Anthony Lucassen continues to be involved in a variety of tasks in his two-decade-plus profession. Perhaps most obviously among these was rock band Vengeance within the 1980s, and in the ’90s, the steadily experimental Ayreon, whose every record featured visitor vocalists like Kingdom Come’s Lenny Wolfe, Marillion’s Seafood, as well as the Gathering’s Anneke truck Giersbergen — generally enacting different individuals in virtual artwork rock operas. Someplace in between lay down his brand-new millennium task Arjen Anthony Lucassen’s Superstar One, whose grandiose ambitions had been pretty much defined by 2002’s Space Steel and its own live companion little bit of a calendar year later, Go on Globe. Both also highlighted a revolving ensemble of visitor performers, including Increasing Drive and Stratovarious alum Jens Johansson, Advantage of Sanity vocalist/guitarist Dan Swano, and Darkness Gallery guitarist Gary Wehrkamp. Another task, Stream of Interest, highlighted Lucassen with Mexican vocalist Marcela Bovio; that music group released many albums through the 2000s and 2010s.
