Aquarian Blood certainly are a Memphis-based music group who play messy, chaotic lo-fi garage-punk with synthesizers and shrieked vocals, subsequent in the footsteps of Jay Reatard’s famous Misplaced Sounds. The group was founded by wedded duo JB Horrell (of Ex-Cult) and previous Nots drummer Laurel Ferdon, both of whom had been members of Shifting Finger. On-stage, the group contains up to seven people. Aquarian Bloodstream released two tapes on ZAP Cassettes in 2014 and 2015, accompanied by 7″ Savage Brain on Goner Information, released on Record Shop Day in Apr of 2015. Another 7″, Warlock Dick, made an appearance on Pelican Pow Wow in 2016. Full-length debut Last Nite in Heaven made an appearance on Goner in 2017.
