Après la Classe

Ska-punk clothing Après la Classe shaped in 1996 in the Italian area of Puglia, and from the beginning their audio had its root base firmly planted in the music custom of Salento, the region they hailed from. Made up of vocalist/guitarist Cesko Arcuti, Valerio “Combass” Bruno on bass, Puccia on accordion, DJ Cordella, and drummer François Rekkia, Après la Classe debuted in 2002 using a self-titled record, including two effective singles, “Paris” and a ska-core rendition of Adriano Pappalardo’s “Ricominciamo,” aswell as some cover variations of traditional tracks from Salento. Their sophomore record, Un Numero, implemented in 2004. In 2006 Après la Classe celebrated their tenth season of activity, launching their third record, Luna Recreation area, in which all of the components of their audio — reggae, pop, ska, punk, and Mediterranean affects — were combined in a far more organic and concentrated mixture. An extended tour followed, noted with the Live Compact disc in 2008, which also included the band’s most recent one, “Il Miracolo.”
