Apostasy

Sweden’s Apostasy was formed in 1994 and performs keyboard-laden symphonic dark steel inspired by famous brands Dimmu Borgir and Arcturus. Following the unexpected death of first vocalist Stefan Peersen (apparently from a damaging brain pathogen) in 1997, guitarist Svenn-Aksel Henriksen assumed vocal responsibilities and, along with then-band people Daniel Nymo (electric guitar), Ole Jörgen Moe (bass), and Arne Ording (drums) documented the limited discharge, Mournful Heaven E.P. the next year. Unlimited musician turnover continuing to plague the group, which still maintained several demos (1999’s “Inside the Majestic Darkness,” and 2002’s “Fall Center”) before finally getting a cope with Dark Mark Records. Right now totally re-vamped and offering vocalist Henriksen, guitarists Inge Johansen and Tor Erik Andersen, bassist Alf Magne Andersen, and drummer Anders Faret Haave, Apostasy shipped their debut record, Cell 666, in early 2004.
