Apex Manor

Following the Broken West parted ways in ’09 2009, frontman Ross Flournoy relocated to Pasadena and began battling a poor case of writer’s block. He ultimately turned his focus on an internet songwriting competition, which challenged individuals to create, record, and upload a fresh song during the period of one weekend. Recently inspired, Flournoy developed “Under the Weapon” and started to piece together a fresh band, with previous Broken Western bandmate Brian Whelan climbing aboard as his right-hand guy. More songs adopted, and Apex Manor proceeded to go into the studio room with technicians Dan Lengthy and Adam Vine — both of whom started playing instruments within the band’s materials, as well — to record their debut album, 2011’s THE ENTIRE YEAR of Magical Consuming.
