Antonio Sanchez

Created in Mexico Town on November 1, 1971, Antonio Sanchéz started performing drums at age five and started executing professionally early in his teenagers. He pursued a qualification in traditional piano in the Country wide Conservatory in Mexico and in 1993 he shifted to Boston to sign up at Berklee University of Music and graduated magna cum laude in jazz research. Since his proceed to NEW YORK in 1999, Sanchéz is becoming probably one of the most sought-after drummers within the worldwide jazz picture. He offers performed and documented with a number of the biggest titles in jazz, most prominently in the Pat Metheny trio alongside Christian McBride; the guitarist’s bigger group; as well as the reunion music group with Metheny, Steve Swallow, and Gary Burton. In 2007 his initial recording being a head, Migration, was released, followed a calendar year later by Component. The concert record Live in NY at Jazz Regular appeared this year 2010. In 2013 Sanchez released his third studio room album, NEW LEASE OF LIFE, offering saxophonists David Binney and Donny McCaslin.
