Antônio Meneses is a Brazilian cellist. From the musical family members, he used the cello at age group 10. A gathering with cellist Antonio Janigro led Meneses to take part in classes in Dusseldorf and Stuttgart. He received first reward in the ARD International Competition in Munich, 1977, and adopted that by earning the first reward and the platinum medal in the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, 1982. He offers performed as soloist using the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and the brand new York Philharmonic, among additional world-lass orchestras. Like a chamber musician, Meneses offers collaborated using the Emerson Quartet, the Vermeer Quartet, as well as the Belcea Quartet, and performed in recitals with pianists Nelson Freire, Menahem Pressler, Cristina Ortiz, and Gérard Wyss. Since 1998 he is a person in the Beaux Arts Trio, and takes on an Alessandro Gagliano cello, ca. 1730.
