Anthony Wonsey

An adventurous however flexible pianist using a potentially significant upcoming, Anthony Wonsey started performing music when he was 6. Wonsey studied initial with his mom (a traditional pianist) and Zilner Randolph. After getting a full scholarship or grant to Berklee, that he graduated in 1994, Wonsey shifted to Boston and performed locally with Roy Hargrove and Antonio Hart, amongst others. While still at Berklee, Wonsey toured with Christopher Hollyday, Nnenna Freelon, and Kenny Garrett. In the past couple of years, Anthony Wonsey provides played frequently and recorded using the sets of Carl Allen and Nicholas Payton. His debut Compact disc as a head, Anthonyology, was documented for japan Alfa Jazz label and released domestically by Proof.
