Anthony Raneri

A local of Queens, NY, Anthony Raneri got within the music radar of punk followers in the first 2000s because the business lead singer and guitarist from the music group Bayside. The group — who acquired selected their name being a nod to a nearby of their youngsters — produced in 2000 and excelled to make moody and psychological pop-punk that bore the impact of bands just like the Smoking cigarettes Popes and Alkaline Trio. By 2012, that they had gained themselves a reliable pursuing over countless travels, five studio room albums, and a small number of EPs and splits. Among the process songwriters, Raneri was often writing, though not really everything he developed seemed like the proper suit for Bayside. Eventually, he took some of these songs and started utilizing the downtime between documenting and displays, when he’d usually just sit down around obtaining restless, to come out in the group and play the casual single acoustic gig. Though Bayside often remained Raneri’s initial priority, a couple of years to do these sporadic shows handed down and he ultimately felt prepared to put several tunes to tape. Bayside released the recording Killing Amount of time in Feb 2011 — their 1st for Wind-Up Information after years on Victory — and therefore spent a lot of the pursuing months assisting it from the street. It wasn’t before year’s end that Raneri got the opportunity to enter a documenting studio room; he sat down at California’s Hurley Studios and (combined with the help of some musical close friends) quickly completed his debut EP, entitled New Cathedrals. Determining to visit the D.We.Y. path for his single work, the recording was self-released in January 2012 by himself Gumshoe Information. Raneri backed the album’s launch with live times within the Where’s the Music group? tour, alongside additional pop-punk frontmen-gone-solo like Saves the Day’s Chris Conley as well as the Get Up Children’ Matt Pryor.
