Anthony Brown & group therAPy

After spending some fruitful years in the backdrop, songwriter, arranger, and background vocalist Anthony Brown stepped forward in 2012 with Anthony Brown & group therAPy. The unusual capitalization described the group’s origins in 2000, when Dark brown released the group Answered Prayers to display his songwriting. As Brown’s function played a job in strike gospel albums like Maurette Brown-Clark’s The Wish (2007) and Stephen A. Hurd’s Situations of Relaxing (2009), Answered Prayers advanced into group therAPy. 3 years of shows — 2006, 2007, and 2012 — on BET’s annual Special event of Gospel particular preceded their self-titled 2012 debut. Released by Tyscot Information, the album highlighted guest performances from Maurette Dark brown Clark and VaShawn Mitchell. In 2015 they came back with Everyday Jesus, an record that highlighted the gospel chart-topping strike “Value.”
