Annie Villeneuve

Annie Villeneuve is a francophone pop singer from Quebec who rose to popularity over the 2003 period of Superstar Académie and embarked on the solo recording profession thereafter. Born on, may 5, 1983, in Jonquière, Saguenay, Quebec, she made an appearance being a contestant on Superstar Académie in 2003 through the truth show’s first period. She completed in 5th place, shedding to first-place champion Wilfred Le Bouthillier, and was provided a recording agreement using the Les Disques Musicor label. She produced her record debut in 2005 with Quand Je Ferme les Yeux, a platinum-certified strike in Canada. The eponymous follow-up record Annie Villeneuve emerged several years afterwards in ’09 2009 and was much less of popular, though still well-known enough to become certified gold. It offers the one “Ce Soir.”
