Ann Monoyios

Soprano Ann Monoyios is a versatile vocalist that has performed repertory from the first Baroque towards the twentieth hundred years. She is most widely known for her involvement in “primary” or “period” design functionality with such performers as Gustav Leonhardt, Franz Brüggen, Christopher Hogwood, John Eliot Gardiner, William Christie, Philippe Herreweghe, and Reinhard Goebel. She’s also toured with Canada’s leading period music company, Tafelmusik. She’s documented for Deutsche Grammophon, Erato, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, CBC Information, EMI, and Sony in functions including Bach’s St. Matthew Interest, Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 and Johann Christian Bach’s Endimione; the latter gained the Echo Klassik Greatest Record of the entire year 2000 award for seventeenth- and eighteenth-century opera.
