Ann Lamb

Although this UK pop vocalist is relegated towards the one-hit wonder category, her unusual vocal delivery from the Doorways’ hit ‘Riders AROUND THE Storm’ created considerable interest and made the united kingdom Best 30 in 1983. The brooding, breathy vocal design was utilized to great influence on this and following releases. Her support music artists included Robin Langridge (keyboards), Steve Greetham (bass), Chris Jarrett (acoustic guitar) and Jim Dvorak (trumpet). The cross of jazz, rock and roll and reggae regularly made by Wally Brill discovered only a faithful coterie of followers. Though small was heard about Lamb in the mainstream press pursuing 1988’s Justice, she’s remained a favorite live designer and in the middle-90s recorded a fresh studio album, that was released in the united kingdom in 1998.
