Anita Tijoux

Chilean rapper Anita Tijoux initially established herself within the Latin American hip-hop underground as an associate from the pioneering group Makiza through the past due ’90s. She discovered much more wide-spread success many years later like a single artist and visitor rapper, though, especially on “Eres Em virtude de Mí,” a 2006 cooperation with Julieta Venegas which was a smash strike through the entire Spanish-speaking world. Created Anamaría Merino in Lille, France, on June 12, 1977, to some French mother along with a Chilean dad who was simply in politics exile through the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, Tijoux transferred to Paris in 1982 with her family members and grew thinking about hip-hop toward the finish of the 10 years. As an adolescent, she transferred to Santiago, Chile, where she started performing being a rapper, producing her documenting debut in 1997 over the melody “La Medicina” by Los Tetas off their record of the same name. For this same period, Tijoux co-founded the important rap group Makiza, also made up of Seo2 (blessed Cristian Bórquez), Cenzi (Gastón Gabarró), and DJ Squat (Jean Paul Hourton). The group produced its record debut using the unbiased discharge Vida Salvaje (1998) and agreed upon a recording agreement with Sony because of its second record, Aerolíneas Makiza (1999), which include some re-recorded materials from its debut and spawned popular one, “La Rosa de los Vientos.” Makiza splintered quickly thereafter, and Tijoux therefore came back to France for a couple years. Upon her go back to Chile, Tijoux collaborated with Latin choice superstar Julieta Venegas on “Lo Que Tú Me Das,” a melody for the 2003 Chilean film Sub Terra, and she also collaborated with Mexican hardcore rap group Control Machete on “Como Ves,” a melody off their 2003 record Uno, Dos: Bandera. In 2004 Vida Salvaje, the 1998 separately released debut of Makiza, was remastered for reissue, and Tijoux reunited with fellow founding group member Seo2, plus two brand-new associates, Sonido Ácido and DJ Nakeye, for a fresh record, Modern casino Royale, released in 2005. After their reunion, Makiza split, and Tijoux started concentrating on her single career. For the time being, she collaborated with Julieta Venegas once more, this time over the melody “Eres Em fun??o de Mí” for the Mexican vocalist/songwriter’s 2006 record Limón con Sal, and in 2007 the melody became a smash strike throughout Latin America, america, and Spain. Around once “Eres Em fun??o de Mí” was obtaining popular airplay, Tijoux released her single debut, Kaos (2007), over the unbiased label Oveja Negra; “Despabípast due!” was selected as the business lead single.
