Driving the wave of MTV-friendly synth pop from the mid-’80s, Animotion required the coldly catchy “Obsession” to the very best Ten initially of 1985. From then on, achievement was elusive — the follow-up, “Allow Him Proceed,” barely damaged the very best 40 simply four months later on.
