Before she began her singing career, Anika was a political journalist who spent her time taken between Berlin and Bristol, Britain. She happened to meet up maker Geoff Barrow, who was simply buying female vocalist to utilize his music group Beak>, as well as the set discovered that they had plenty of musical common floor: punk, dub, and ’60s woman groups. Anika became a member of the music group in the studio room and they documented nine tunes, including a cover of Yoko Ono’s “Yang Yang,” in 12 times without overdubs. The effect, First Female of Invada, premiered by Barrow’s Invada imprint in European countries and by Rocks Toss in the U.S. and Japan in Oct 2010. The Anika EP, which highlighted dub variations of several music from her debut record aswell as addresses of songs with the Crystals and Stunning Blue, found its way to April 2013.
