Angie Hart

Biography

Vocalist Angie Hart rose to prominence as an associate from the Melbourne-based choice pop music group Frente. Produced in 1991, the group released the EP Clunk, before issuing their full-length debut Marvin The Record in 1992. On the effectiveness of several strike singles within their homeland, including “Labour Of Like,” the record was a big vendor. Abroad, it had been their folk-tinged reworking of New Order’s traditional “Bizarre Like Triangle” that became the breakthrough monitor. The group released one more record, Form, in 1996, which wasn’t aswell received before silently disbanding in early 1998. Hart after that formed a fresh band with hubby/guitarist Jesse Tobias (Alanis Morissette, Crimson Sizzling hot Chili Peppers), that they dubbed Splendid. The set had met many years previously when Frente was starting a string of Canadian schedules for Morissette. Marvelous bowed with ARE YOU EXPERIENCING A Name FOR THIS in 1999, but despite making beneficial nods, it didn’t find a market with listeners. By 2002, Marvelous was on indefinite hiatus as Hart was focusing on an meant solo project in addition to contributing a monitor to get a Paul Kelly tribute documenting.
