Originally treated being a side project beneath the moniker of Fiji Mermaid, Jared Dark brown (bass), P.J. Sykes (electric guitar), and Jeff Roop (vocals/ drum programmer/guitarist) met up in 1998 within their hometown of Lynchburg, VA. Ultimately making the dedication to being truly a full-time gig, Angels VS Aliens will be positioned musically between the enjoys of Superchunk, Mogwai, SUNSHINEY DAY Real Estate, as well as the Smashing Pumpkins before their initial self-released record entitled Eleven Tones of Crimson arrived in March of 2000.
