Although she have been in jazz for a couple years, Angela DeNiro’s “break” came when she met her husband-to-be, Ron Aprea. Aprea, currently a veteran of such big rings as Woody Herman, Les Elgart, Tito Puente and Frank Foster, was executing using the Skitch Henderson Orchestra when he got a contact to utilize the music group DeNiro was executing with. The others is history, as the saying goes. Aprea’s big music group became the musical backdrop for both her albums, the 1996Just for the Fun of It as well as the newer 1998 discharge Swingin’ with Legends. The last mentioned album appropriately highlighted such legends as Frank Foster, Lew Tabackin as well as the famous Lionel Hampton. DeNiro, using a music level from C.W. Post School, provides performed with many top flight modern jazz music artists since 1988. With her quintet, she was highlighted with Arvell Shaw’s Louis Armstrong Legacy Music group. She became a member of such luminaries as Freddie Cole, Ethel Ennis, Diana Krall, on the Lionel Hampton Jazz Celebration in Boise, Idaho where she sang using the Kenny Barron Trio and Hampton’s Big Music group. Blessed with great pitch and phrasing, an user-friendly feel for golf swing and wedded to an extremely talented musician in his very own right, DeNiro is among the brighter, vocally precocious abilities available.
