Biography
Angel Corpus Christi (a.k.a. Andrea Ross) is really a San Francisco vocalist/accordionist who started launching vintage-sounding pop albums within the ’80s. Her hubby Affluent Stim, a regular musical co-conspirator, first became a significant shape in avant/fringe rock and roll in the middle-’70s with MX-80. In 1984, Angel Corpus Christi debuted with an record of NYC-related addresses (with the Ramones, Lou Reed, etc.) known as, fittingly, I REALLY LIKE New York. AWAKEN & Cry, which mainly contains originals, emerged the next year, accompanied by 1987’s Dim the Lighting. Accordion Pop Vol. 1, a assortment of accordion addresses, arrived in 1989. That same season saw the discharge of her first Compact disc work, The ’80s, a series that included both retrospective paths and new materials. Re-emerging in 1995, Angel discovered herself on the mainstream label, Almo Noises. That season she released the hugely catchy and completely realized Light Courtesy Mobile phone. Craig Leon performed keyboards and created, while Almo mind Natural herb Alpert added some visitor trumpet to “Lazy.” Legendary program percussionist/drummer Hal Blaine also turns up on your time and effort. Corpus Christi in addition has added accordion towards the Spiritualized record Girls and Gentlemen WE HAVE BEEN Floating in Space and collaborated with Luna’s Dean Wareham on the cover of Serge Gainesbourg’s “Je T’aime (I Wanna Boogie TOGETHER WITH YOU).”
