Ahead of issuing the full-length Fearsome Jewel about Kompakt in 2003, New Zealand producer Andrew Thomas was in charge of a limited-edition release (100 copies) about Involve titled AND THAT MEANS YOU Wanna Be considered a (Loss of life) Celebrity. Thomas’ 1st Kompakt opportunity was a substantial improvement over his obscure, glitch-inflected debut, with most songs falling somewhere within Ulf Lohmann’s Because Before and Dettinger’s Oasis. He dropped in to the Cologne label’s “pop ambient” department with little problems.
