Andrew Hozier-Byrne

A distinctive and intelligent singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who cites Wayne Joyce’s Portrait of the Artist as a Guy, Leonard Cohen, John Lee Hooker, and community choral singing among his affects, Hozier (his stage and performing name) was created Andrew Hozier-Byrne about March 17, 1990 (which simply so been St. Patrick’s Day time) in Bray, Region Wicklow, Ireland. The child of an area blues musician, he actually grew up using the blues becoming played throughout him. He became a member of his first music group when he was 15, gravitating toward R&B, spirit, gospel, and, obviously, blues.
