Retro-soul singer and songwriter Andra Day time is from NORTH PARK, California, where she performed in church and enrolled at the institution of Innovative and Performing Arts. After she graduated from the institution, she leaned toward modern R&B and pop, but was ultimately drawn back again to the traditional jazz and spirit vocalists she noticed as a young child. A significant break came whenever a overall performance of hers was captured by Kai Millard Morris, who consequently took a few of Day’s music to spouse Stevie Wonder, who subsequently connected Day time with music market veteran Adrian Gurvitz.
