Anata

The death metal band Anata was formed by Fredrik Schälin (vocals, guitar), Mattias Svensson (guitar), Martin Sjöstrand (bass), and Robert Petersson (drums) in the city of Varberg, Sweden. Although they initial started jamming in 1993, it had been quite some years before they got around to documenting their initial demos, 1995’s Bury Forever your garden of Rest and 1997’s Vast Lands of My Infernal Dominion. The last mentioned gained the group a cope with Period of Mist Information, which released their debut record, The Infernal Depths of Hatred, the next year. Merging the raw hostility of American loss of life metal using the even more melodic sensibilities of Anata’s Swedish kin, the record also introduced brand-new associates Andreas Allenmark (electric guitar) and Henrik Drake (bass). A divide LP with Bethzaida called Battle, Vol. 2 implemented in 1999, and after inviting brand-new drummer Conny Pettersson (ex-Beseech and Eternal Lays), Anata shipped their second full-length with 2001’s Dreams of Loss of life and Dismay.
