Amy Denio

Seattle-based composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (effective in accordion, saxophone, clarinet, bass, and guitar) Amy Denio provides issued many albums being a single artist, and a member of other clothes. Created on June 9, 1961, Denio researched music at both Hampshire University in Amherst, Mass, and Colorado University through the early ’80s, before developing her personal label, Spoot Music, in 1986, and issuing a cassette-only debut, No Bone fragments. Subsequently, Denio offers performed and made an appearance on albums alongside countless performers, like the Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet, the Shade Dogs (including Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron), (EC) Nudes, the Danubians, and Curlew, to mention but several. Furthermore to using others, Denio also continuing to sporadically concern single albums, including 1991’s Birthing Seat Blues, 1999’s Greatest Strikes, and 2000’s Tattoo (Pat Graney Dance Business, Soundtrack Series No. 1). Having performed throughout THE UNITED STATES, aswell as Europe, SOUTH USA, Japan, and Bombay, Denio in addition has been commissioned to compose music for others, including Italian Country wide Radio, David Dorfman Dance Business, Relache Outfit, Berkeley Symphony, THE BRAND NEW York Event of Music, Die Knodel, and UMO Outfit, amongst others. Denio offers received several accolades on her behalf leading edge music, including becoming named among “Rock’s 10 Smartest, most powerful ladies” by Elizabeth Vincentelli in Demand Magazine.
