Americana vocalist/songwriter Amy Dark initial emerged out of Boston’s root base music picture in the late 2000s fronting her music group the Crimson Clay Rascals. The little girl of the preacher, Black was raised in Missouri and Alabama, ultimately finding yourself with her family members in the Boston region. While she appreciated producing music and performed in a number of bands over time, she didn’t go after a music profession in earnest until her past due thirties. Using the Crimson Clay Rascals, she released one generally acoustic album in ’09 2009, returning 2 yrs later being a single artist with a far more sturdy sound that had taken affects from blues and R&B aswell as folk and nation. Released in 2014, THAT IS Home continuing to trend even more toward a origins rock kind of sound, as the Muscle tissue Shoals Classes (2015) discovered Black discovering her Southern origins with a couple of classic spirit and R&B addresses. Made by Lex Cost, the album presented guest shows from Spooner Oldham and Regina and Ann McCrary from the McCrary Sisters. A proceed to Nashville discovered Dark collaborating with Scott Bomar from the Memphis soul-jazz group the Bo-Keys. Just like the Muscle tissue Shoals recording before it, her 2017 launch, Memphis, drew deeply on her behalf Southern soul history, but this time around featured all unique material.
