Amparo Montes

b. Amparo Meza Cruz, 22 Apr 1925, Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico, d. 13 January 2002, Mexico. This extremely popular Mexican vocalist was noted specifically for her overall performance of traditional bolero. Montes 1st attracted widespread interest through broadcasts she manufactured in 1938 when she was still extremely young. Later on, she became a documenting designer and performed thoroughly at concerts throughout Mexico. She was named an exceedingly gifted interpreter from the compositions of Agustín Lara. In 1993 a 25-minute documentary film, Amparo Montes, aimed by Maricarmen de Lara and compiled by Leopoldo Greatest and Alfonso Morales, tracked areas of her profession. In 2001, a tribute concert happened at Mexico Town’s museum of which Pepe Jara Y José Amado performed. Soon thereafter, Montes was used sick with pneumonia and hospitalized.
