AM Taxi

Originally referred to as American Taxi, AM Taxi is a Chicago-based quintet that took its cues from your Replacements, Bruce Springsteen, and melodic punk groups. Frontman Adam Krier and bassist Jason Schultejann 1st worked collectively as users of Lucky Males Misunderstandings, a ska-punk music group that briefly authorized with Elektra Documents through the early 2000s. Following a group’s demise toward the finish of the 10 years, both enlisted assistance from drummer Chris Smith and created a fresh power trio, ultimately rounding out the lineup with brothers John and Luke Schmitt. AM Taxi cab became a favorite take action in Chicago, and a set of self-released EPs helped appeal to the interest of Virgin Information. After signing using the label, the people decamped to Austin to record a debut recording, We Don’t Stand an opportunity, with premiered in summer time 2010.
