Alun Davies

Biography

Alun Davies is among the most highly respected program guitarists in britain. A founding member, alongside youth friend Jon Marks and Nicky Hopkins, of pop-jazz group Special Tuesday, Davies produced his greatest tag as accompanist for United kingdom singer/songwriter Kitty Stevens from 1970 until Stevens’ transformation to Islam and pension from music in 1977. Davies eventually collaborated with ex-Small Encounters vocalist Ronnie Street, co-writing the starting track “One Stage” another tune, “She’s Departing,” on Lane’s 1979 record Find Me. Davies released his musical profession within a duo that he distributed to Marks (after that referred to as Michael Burchell) in 1963. The duo’s lone record, Relax YOUR BRAIN, was made by American manufacturer Shel Talmy, most widely known for his use the Who, the Kinks, Manfred Mann, Chad & Jeremy, and Ralph McTell. After busking in Paris as well as the south of France, in 1964, both musicians came back to Britain and agreed upon with a realtor, who guaranteed them a gig on the Cunard Line dispatch. After 16 voyages over the Atlantic sea, Davies and Tag went their split methods. Davies, who had opted on to are a program musician for Fontana Information and tour with Marianne Faithful, Spencer Davis, and Jeremy Taylor, reunited with Tag to form Special Wednesday in 1968. Although they documented one memorable record, the group disbanded after Fontana announced bankruptcy and went of business. Time for session function, Davies was recruited to execute on Kitty Stevens’ recording, Mona Bone tissue Jakon, in 1970. The program proved so effective that Stevens invited Davies to become listed on him on tour pursuing therecording of his groundbreaking recording, Tea for the Tillerman. Davies’ participation with Stevens was reciprocated when he documented his debut single recording, Waste of Amount of time in 1972. The recording, which showcased seven music created or co-written by Davies, presented Stevens on piano and was co-produced by Stevens and Paul Samwell Smith. Davies’ second single effort, Daydo adopted two years later on.

2 [on who he'd marry if he was gay] I can't have someone towering over me, so I'd want someone small. Probably a jockey. Jockey is the third one. Motorcyclist, they're little. Dani Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi. And then obviously that bloke who plays Thor (2011). Wouldn't you? He's gorgeous.
