Alton McClain, as the business lead vocalist of Alton McClain & Future, had a high Ten R&B/Best 40 pop strike with “It all Must Be Like” and recorded the initial edition of “I’ve Learned to Respect the energy of Like” (compiled by Angela Winbush), later on a 1986 number 1 R&B strike for Stephanie Mills. The group’s lineup was McClain, D’Marie (Delores Marie) Warren (who passed away inside a fatal car crash in Feb 1985 at age 32), and Robyrda Stiger.
