Alphonse Trent

Alphonse Trent led probably one of the most fabled from the place bands, an clothing that barely recorded (just eight game titles) but was quite legendary through the 1930’s. Trent discovered piano as a kid, played with regional rings in Arkansas and began leading his very own bands as soon as 1923. After dealing with Eugene Crook’s Synco Six in 1924, he became its head. The orchestra lasted for a decade, mostly employed in the South as well as the Midwest but also showing up on the Savoy Ballroom in NY in the past due 1920’s and playing on steamboats.
