THE BRAND NEW York-based urban soul vocal group Allure was the first band to become signed to Mariah Carey’s Crave Information. Such connections guaranteed that Allure will be promoted well which their eponymous 1997 debut could have cameos by such celebrities as Nas, L.L. Great J, Raekwon, 112, Q-Tip, and Carey herself, nonetheless it didn’t make sure that the record itself will be a blockbuster.
