California vocalist/songwriter and guitarist Allette Brooks issued a trio of folk-based albums that limelight her skill for witty lyrics (in addition to dealing with environmental and public issues), even while with an focus on tempo. A classically educated singer using a three-octave vocal range, Brooks didn’t start playing electric guitar until she was well into her junior calendar year of college, learning ecology in Botswana. When she appeared back again to the U.S.A., Brooks started playing from a normal basis (in 2000 by itself, she performed 150 displays in 25 expresses), and over a five-year period, released the recordings Privilege (1996), Silicon Valley Rebel (1999), and Swim BESIDE ME (2001), which Brooks created herself.
