Alison Statton

Best known because the articulate and feather-light tone of voice of Teen Marble Giants, Alison Statton was in a number of recording projects following the demise of this cultish post-punk music group. Soon after the break up of her initial major music group, she produced Weekend with several fellow Cardiff natives, who released a complete record along with a batch of singles. Around once, she made an appearance on a number of the Gist’s recordings, an organization helmed by previous YMG partner Stuart Moxham. Through the middle-’80s, she had taken a protracted break from music, reappearing toward the finish of the 10 years with several information and singles finished with Ian Devine beneath the Devine and Statton moniker. Through the entire ’90s, she released a batch of recordings with Weekend’s Spike as Alison Statton & Spike.
