Alim Qasimov

Alim Qasimov is among the world’s truly gifted singers. A grasp from the mugham, a modal artwork music popular amonst the Caucasus as well as the Turkish-speaking folks of central Asia, Qasimov continues to be hailed for his vocal dexterity and psychological delivery. The receiver of the worldwide IMC/UNESCO Music Reward in 1999, Qasimov was known as “among the 20th century’s best performers” by Folk Origins, who praised him for his “real vocal enjoyment.” Given birth to to an unhealthy family inside a city 100 kilometers from the administrative centre town of Baku, Qasimov shown musical skill from an extremely early age group. His first device was a body drum whose epidermis originated from a goat that his dad slaughtered. He afterwards studied on the Mugham College in Baku. Qasimov painstakingly learned the complexities from the mugham. At age 25, he earned his initial competition. In 1989, he shaped a band using the Mansurov brothers — Malik on tar (lute) and Eshan on kamanche (violin).
