Alice Jemima

Self-taught guitarist and singer/songwriter Alice Jemima started composing songs at age 12, even though at comprehensive college in her indigenous Devon, she were able to get a work positioning in Britain’s biggest summertime celebration, Glastonbury. With the work cementing the thought of a music profession in her brain, Jemima go about composing and developing her audio. While at university, she earned the Helen Base Best Endeavour Prize, which noticed her reach work with manufacturer Andy Chatterley. Acquiring her classical electric guitar design and melding it with looped beats and refined electronica, Jemima created her initial self-released EP — the four-track All of the Boyfriends — in 2012, while regularly uploading materials to the web. In 2014, a cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” captured the interest of BBC Radio 1 DJ, Bestival creator, and label owner Rob Da Loan company. After appealing Jemima to record a program on the BBC’s Maida Vale studios, Da Loan company signed the vocalist/songwriter to his very own Sunday Greatest label. Hanging out documenting and dealing with the label, Jemima’s initial discharge was the middle-2016 EP Liquorice. Getting into the studios with manufacturer Roy Kerr (Foxes, Bloc Party), Jemima go about documenting her debut record, with the initial fruits released in Sept by means of the solitary Dodged a Bullet. The follow-up solitary, Electric, made an appearance a couple of months later on, with her full-length eponymous debut shedding in early 2017.
