California-based Anticon producer Alias had never found out about Brand-new York-based Rona “Tarsier” Rapadas before he got a letter from her 1 day in 2003, soon after the discharge of his instrumental-based album Muted, revealing him just how much she loved his work, if he’d pay attention to her band (Brooklyn indie electronica outfit Healamonster & Tarsier), and when he’d ever consider remixing Muted with her vocals. Alias was therefore impressed by her examples that he instantly delivered Tarsier four beats, requesting her to select one also to add her very own vocal monitor to it.
