Algodón Egipcio

After cutting his teeth in Jóvenes y Sexys, Venezuelan songwriter Ezequiel “Cheky” Bertho started creating his own music as Algodón Egipcio (a solo project that means “COTTON.”) This year 2010, after going to São Paulo, Brazil, he came back inspired and began saving in his Caracas bedroom; he finished fifty percent of his debut in only weekly. The producing ten-track album entitled La Lucha Constante (or “The Regular Struggle”) was made up of exotic digital beats and desire pop, rendering it much like an overseas edition of chillwave. It had been released on Lefse Information in the springtime of 2012.
