Alexander String Quartet

The Alexander String Quartet is situated in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, but was originally formed in NEW YORK in 1981; the group includes Zakarias Grafilo and Frederick Lifsitz on violins, Paul Yarbrough on viola, and Sandy Wilson on cello. The group produced a direct effect early, earning the Concert Performers Guild Competition in 1982 as well as the London International String Quartet Competition in 1985.
