Alexander Melnikov is a Russian pianist. He went to the Moscow Conservatory, where he examined piano with Lev Naumov. A award winner in a number of competitions, like the 1989 International Robert Schumann Competition for Pianists and Performers as well as the 1991 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium, Melnikov also participated in music celebrations in Russia and France in the invitation of his coach, Sviatoslav Richter.
