Florida-based Alex & Sierra certainly are a vocal duo featuring Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton, who make passionate, acoustic folk-pop. Created in ’09 2009, Alex & Sierra are most widely known as the winners on the 3rd season from the Fox vocal competition The X Element. Given birth to in 1991, Kinsey was raised in Smyrna Seaside, Florida, where he started playing acoustic guitar as an adolescent. Also given birth to in 1991, Deaton (a Philadelphia indigenous) grew up in Orlando, Florida, where she analyzed dance from age two. Although they understood one another in senior high school, Kinsey and Deaton didn’t begin performing collectively until they reconnected while going to the University or college of Southern Florida. It had been there, after finding they distributed both an innovative and intimate connection, that they started uploading movies of their cover music online in ’09 2009. In 2013, they auditioned for and had been accepted onto the 3rd season from the X Aspect with a gradual, sultry reworking of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” Enthusiast favorites throughout their period on the present, Alex & Sierra regularly received most market votes. After earning The X Element in Dec of 2013, they started writing and documenting their record, collaborating with such companies simply because Claude Kelly, Sam Hollander, Steve Macintosh, among others, including vocalist/songwriter Jason Mraz.
