Alex Dixon is becoming one of couple of young blues music artists, however, not by happenstance or coincidence. Blessed within the south part of Chicago in 1975, pianist Dixon was led by his grandfather, Willie Dixon, the renowned blues bassist and composer. The elder Dixon also helped to improve Alex from child years, but infused the blues in his spirit with his existence, as well as the teaching of piano players like Leonard “Baby Doo” Caston, his uncle Arthur “Butch” Dixon, as well as the experienced bluesman Lafayette Leake. Another big impact for younger Dixon was pianist Small Sibling Montgomery, who emphasized the classic jazz, ballads, and boogie-woogie design. Beginning on-stage at age group six, Alex Dixon was portion of a pilot system in the Chicago college system sponsored from the Blues Heaven Basis. He toured along with his grandfather playing keyboards, co-wrote the Grammy earning tune “Hidden Charms” among 40 tunes he wrote along with his granddad, and was with Willie Dixon correct up to his moving in 1992.
