Alex Campbell

Alex Campbell was among Scotland’s best-loved wandering minstrels. Learning the artwork of busking whilst travelling with American folk performers Derroll Adams and Ramblin’ Jack port Elliott through the past due ’50s, he continuing to perform an assortment of traditional Scottish music, American work tunes, spirituals, and ballads until his loss of life in 1987. He performed an important part in presenting the tunes of Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, and Woody Guthrie to viewers in England as well as the Celtic Isles. Campbell relocated to Denmark in the 1960s, settling 1st in Skagen and in Tonder. For a limited period, Campbell was wedded to American folk vocalist, Peggy Seeger. In 2003, Storyville Information released both In Copenhagen with the Tivoli Landscapes for the very first time on CD.
