Aleck Karis

Aleck Karis is an extremely regarded American pianist, especially popular for his function in modern American music. He acquired his bachelor’s level through the Manhattan College of Music and his experts through the Juilliard College in NY, and shows piano in the College or university of California NORTH PARK. Karis offers documented for Deutsche Grammophon, Composers Recordings Inc., Bridge Information, Centaur, non-esuch, and Koch International. As an accompanist his credits are the full vocal music of Eliot Carter for the Bridge label, Laura Clayton’s Cree Tracks, and Tobias Picker’s Love for violin and piano. His single piano recordings consist of an unusually designed launch on Bridge offering music of Frédéric Chopin, Elliott Carter, and Robert Schumann, Roger Reynold’s Variants for single piano, a couple of Mozart sonatas on Bridge, Eleanor Cory’s Apertures, and the entire piano music (1911 – 1942) of Igor Stravinsky. He offers performed in collaboration with the brand new York’s Y Chamber Symphony, St. Luke’s Chamber Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, as well as the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, along with several main symphony orchestras from the U.S. He provides received a single recitalist’s fellowship in the Country wide Endowment for the Arts and two Fromm Base grants “in identification of his dedication to music in our time.”
