Albert Dietrich

Conductor and composer who all studied with Otto, Moscheles, Rietz and Hauptmann. In Dusseldorf Dietrich became familiar with Schumann’s group and befriended Brahms. When he still left Dusseldorf he discovered poisitions in Leipzig, Bonn, Oldenburg and Berlin affording him the chance to provide and conduct a few of his very own compositions. Performing allowed him to advocate the functions of Bach, Schumann, and Brahms with small pathos toward the brand new German College. “Robin Hood” and “Das Sonntagskind” had been his operas both which had been performed during his life time. Dietrich also made up symphonies, chamber music, single pieces, sonatas plus some vocal music.
